Tully Lake - Long Pond - Royalston Ma

Tully Lake - spent the day out on the water here. Put in is a small Kayak access point on Doane Rd. This place is worth the drive, it's a very nice location.
We put in and went north up the small stream into Long Pond. There used to be a small beaver dam blocking the way into Long Pond but in has been opened up to the point of be able to paddle up and into it. Fishing was a little slow with nothing of any size being caught. When we put in there was our two kayaks and another kayak on the water at 800am. When we came back towards the launch point we passed 10 to 15 kayakers.
When we reached the launch point we took a break then headed south into Tully Lake. it's quite the area and great for kayaks on any type. Motors over 10hp are not allowed. The lake has quite a few islands and plenty of places to fish. Once again fishing was pretty slow, people we spoke with that knew the lake said it was just an off day for fishing and that usually fishing is pretty good.
We plan to make another trip up there soon.
